PLEASE NOTE: The above removal rates are calculated after the reverse osmosis membrane alone. After the reverse osmosis membrane this system's water passes through its DI Resin Canister which will alkalize the water to a PH between 7.6 and 8.7 and also remove any contaminants that have "potentially" passed through the Reverse Osmosis Membrane and its pre-filters. After the DI Stage the water then will pass through the final polishing filter stage leaving you with 97-99% purity for an overall cost of less than $0.01 Per Liter.
Maximus II System Combo Filter Specification
STAGE 1: (SED; 5 Micron Sedimentary Filter)
Sediment Removal / PP Commercial grade sediment filter. Sediment filtration extracts suspended sediment, dirt, rust, silt and sand ranging from filtration of 20 microns down to 5 microns. Reduces particles 8 times smaller than what the naked eye can see.
STAGE 2: (GAC; 5 Micron Granular Activated Carbon for Chemicals)
Granulated Activated Carbon /UDF High efficiency pre-filter reduces and removes: chlorine, volatile organic compounds (V.O.C), pesticides, nitrates, herbicides, tastes, odor, and disinfection by products (Chloramines, THM, TCE). Cartridges are constructed totally of FDA grade materials and media.
STAGE 3: (CCB; 1 Micron Coconut Carbon Block for Chemicals)
Carbon Block Filter / CTO High efficiency pre-filter removes Chlorine, then reduces or entirely removes Pesticides, Nitrates, Herbicides, tastes, odor, and disinfection by-products (chloramines, THM, TCE), Volatile Organic Compounds (V.O.C).
STAGE 4: (100 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane)
Reverse Osmosis Membrane- This semi permeable membrane filters and rejects tiny impurities down to 1/10,000th of a micron removing at least 95% of all impurities such as colloid, heavy metal, dissolved solids, germs and other harmful substances. Virtually only water molecules and dissolved oxygen can pass through the Reverse Osmosis Membrane. The rejected contaminants are flushed to drain. The product water is the extremely pure, crisp healthy drinking water.
STAGE 5: (Alkalizing; De-Ionization Resin Bead Filtration)
The De-Ionization stage will catch any possible contaminants that have have potentially passed through the Reverse Osmosis Membrane to ensure 100% Pure Alkaline water for you and your loved ones. This stage will also boost the PH of the water produced through an ion exchange process to a PH between 7.5 & 8.6 which gives added health benefits.
STAGE 6: (PC; Post Carbon Final polishing filter for taste and odor)
Post Activated Carbon Filter / T33- This carbon filter does an excellent job of polishing any dissolved solids that although unlikely, may have slipped through the 95% removal rate of the Reverse Osmosis Membrane and also through the DI Resin Bead Stage to give added assurance that you are getting the highest quality drinking water possible. The Final Polishing Filter also adds the mineral charcoal back into your water which helps to give the water a full bodied taste and also helps your body to detoxify.

The Maximus II COMBO System comes with everything you will need to fully install your system and produce 7000+ Gallons of ultra pure drinking water.
This is a typical setup example. Please note: The system can be hooked up anywhere in your home. You will simply need to purchase more tubing as needed from the parts and accessories page if you are not planning to have the system installed under your Kitchen Sink.

System Dimensions; will the system fit under my sink?
Yes. Every R.O System has been designed to fit under the average homes kitchen sink.
Home II System; Dimensions: 15"L x 5.2"W x 16"H
3.2 Gallon Stainless Steel water Storage Tank;Dimensions: 11"L x 11"W x 13"H. The Tank can also lay on its side to conserve space.
Minimum Operating Pressure: 50 PSI.
The standard water pressure for city and municipal water is 60psi, so if your water comes from city of municipal water supply then you have more then enough pressure.
If, however you are on a well system and you have lower than 50psi then you may need a booster pump with your system. The booster pump can be seen at the bottom of this page and also on the parts and accessories page.
Can I install The System Myself?
Yes! All Aquasafe Reverse Osmosis Systems have been specifically designed as DIY (Do It Yourself) systems and are extremely easy to install.
The detailed step by step instructions with example photos are easy to understand and straight forward.
All of the fittings either screw into place or literally push into place. All of the tubing is color codded. You do not need any specialized set of skills to install an Aquasafe R.O. System. Installation takes between 45mins and 1hr.
However, if you are physically disabled or are intimidated this kind of task any local handy man or plumber could install the system for you for a small fee.
