Reverse Osmosis Membrane (100 GPD):
The R.O membrane generally lasts 2-3 years. We recommend manually flushing the membrane once a month along with changing the filters every 6-12 months to prolong the life of the membrane.
Reverse osmosis is a filtration process that is often used for water. It works by using pressure to force a solution through a membrane, retaining the solute on one side and allowing the pure water to pass to the other side. The membranes used for reverse osmosis have a dense barrier layer in the polymer matrix where most separation occurs.  This is the reverse of the normal osmosis process, which is the natural movement of solvent from an area of low solute concentration, through a membrane, to an area of high solute concentration when no external pressure is applied.

DI Resin Beads (Demineralization by Ionization) 24oz --- 4 changes
(The D.I Stage Does not apply to the Home System)
The D.I resin changes color from an emerald green to amber on exhaustion. Passage of water through the resin can achieve almost complete reduction of total dissolved solids. However it will be necessary to cease water production shortly prior to complete color change if highest quality water is essential.  If you mave the older style D.I canister (with whilte end caps) you will want to purchase an D.I Upgrade Kit.
THE ONLY POINT NOTEWORTHY ON THE D.I IS THAT WATER WANTS TO FOLLOW THE COURSE OF LEAST RESISTANCE. SO, PACK IT TIGHTLY AND IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO TIP IT UP ON THE RIGHT SIDE TO FORCE THE WATER TO PERCOLATE UPWARDS. ALSO, THE BEADS WILL FORM CHANNELS. SHAKE IT OCCASIONALLY TO BREAK THEM UP.
Keep in air tight container at room temperature and away from heat and light; the shelf life is years.

D.I Resin Canister Filled With D.I Resin Beads (6 oz)
Demineralization by Ionization (DI) will get those remaining 4-5% of any remaining turbidity. This produces R.O/D.I water. It is the same process that is used by electronic and pharmaceutical manufacturers who need the purest possible water.
With a cost of around $0.01 per/liter, Aquasafe Systems has made this quality water affordable for the average home. Keep in airtight container away from heat and light and the shelf life is years.
It is our recommendation that you purchase a 24 OZ bag of resin as a means for you to save over
time.

  D.I Resin Canister Up-Grade Kit (6 oz)
Aquasafe's Upgrade Kit serves the purpose of upgrading the old style white capped D.I Canisters.
Aquasafe has discontinued the old D.I canisters.
If you’re wondering if you have the discontinued D.I Canisters just check if your canister is NOT see through and if it has white caps. If you cannot see through your D.I Canister and or if your D.I canister has white caps, then you are eventually going to want to upgrade to the new D.I canister system.
The new D.I Canisters are much easier to deal with and the caps come off either side for easy refilling of the D.I Resin. The New D.I canisters are also see through, which makes them very attractive and allows you to see when your beads are changing color which would indicate a time to refresh the D.I Resin supply.

100 PSI BOOSTER PUMP
Most important thing you can do to increase the performance of your system is to increase the PSI
. If you are processing high volumes of water OR if you have very nasty water OR low PSI, you should purchase this pump. You will also want to purchase a booster pump timer as a means to fully automate your system. The higher the PSI, the better the recovery rate and the lower the discharge rejection rate. The minimum operating pressure is 45 PSI is the minimum PSI. The PSI from most municipal providers is 55-60 and the average TDS is 200-300. The system will work fine under these conditions. A combination of low PSI and high TDS means you need to buy a booster pump.
$62.70

  Booster Pump Timer
This Timer is Typically Bought with the Booster pump. The booster pump will still work without the timer, but if you do not have the timer you will have to remember to unplug the Booster pump. This timer will make the use of your 100 PSI booster pump a breeze and will greatly enhance the performance of your in home water filtration system, making your water filtration fully timed and easy to use.

T.D.S Meter (Total Desolved Solids)
This item is critical for system maintenance and problem solving.  You will be able to see at any given time the T.D.S of your water. Also if you have a problem, the first thing Aquasafe will ask is "what are the TDS readings?" The TDS meter is the only way check to confirm that the R.O membrane is working properly and at what efficiency. It is also another way  to tell when the DI filter is exhausted. We strongly recommend buying PSI and TDS meters as they are absolutely essential in diagnosing problems, and confirming the system is operating as it
was designed.

  P.S.I Meter
You really need both a PSI and a TDS meter. This PSI Meter is critical for system maintenance and problem solving. If you have a problem, the second thing Aquasafe will ask is "what are the PSI readings?" The PSI meter is the only way to check to confirm that the R.O membrane is working properly and at what efficiency. It is also another way to tell when the DI filter is exhausted. We strongly recommend purchasing a PSI and TDS meters as they are absolutely essential in diagnosing problems, and confirming the system is operating as it w

  ASV (Automatic Shut Off Valve)
Aquasafe’s Automatic shut-off valve allows for your system to automatically stop producing water once your water storage tank is full. It work’s through pressure sensitive settings inside the Automatic shut-off valve that close when a certain water pressure in the system is achieved. This allows you to leave your Aquasafe’s Systems water intake valve open at all times. When the system is full, it will stop producing water. As soon as you take some water from the Aquasafe faucet the system will automatically start producing water again until the system is full.

  Blue "C" Clips

Aquasafe's Blue "C" Clips are the blue clips that are found on almost every Aquasafe connector and
fitting.

These clips are a small but essential part of our high Tech Water Filtration Systems.

  Large Canister Wrench
This wrench is used to loosen the vertical canisters that hold the pre-filters.  Sometime people loose the wrenches that come with the purchase of their Aquasafe System.  You do not necessarily need to order new wrenches from us. An oil wrench that you would use to take the oil filter off your vehicle will work just fine.  If you do not have a oil wrench or something very similar, then we suggest you order a n
ew wrench.

  Small Canister Wrench
This wrench is used to loosen any of the other filters in the Aquasafe System.  Sometimes people loose the wrenches that come with the purchase of their Aquasafe System. E - Z Flush Flow Restrictor
Tighten the top turn knob until you get a drip....then a tiny bit more and then you will have a small flow. That’s probably is you point of maximum effectiveness in a low pressure situation. Time how long it takes to make a quart of good water. Then see how much waste water is generated in that same time. Play with it until the ratio is 3:1 and you are a "Green". This is how to set the proper back pressure for your system. THE E  - Z  FLUSH FLOW RESTRICTOR acts to put back pressure on the R.O membrane...there is no "closed" position and it never stops the flow of discharge water. It is either restricting the flow or open.

$10.03

  M.S.V  (Manual Shut Off Valve)

This flow restrictor allows you to manually control the flow of water into and out of the various Aquasafe Systems.
